Hagan Stone Park, Pleasant Garden, NC
Our first hike of our 21st year of BRW Hiking Club takes us to the 409-acre wildlife refuge that was established in 1964 in honor of Anne Hagan and Joseph Stone, two individuals that dedicated their lives to preserving nature. There are 9.1 miles of natural surface trails that will offer a suitable hiking experience for all levels.
March 25th - Wednesday
Divine Llama Winery, East Bend
Our second hike of the year will take us to East Bend and the Divine Llama vineyard where we can sample some of their award winning wines and hike some of the trails on the property. The winery was started in 2007 and overs 91-acres of rolling hills we can explore.
Cedarock Park, Burlington, NC
Cedarock Park in a 500-acre park established in 1975 on the historic farm of John and Polly Garrett. The park offers four miles of king trails and a historical farm restored to the late 1800’s time period, a fishing pond and a picturesque waterfall over an old mill dam.

Doughton Park, Laurel Springs
We will return to the hiking venue to escape the Auguest heat along the Blue Ridge Parkway and to enjoy the Bluffs Restaurant. Both favorite places of the BRW Hiking Club.
Greenway Trail/Kennedy Loop Boone, NC
The Boone Greenway is a trail system that runs from one end of Boone to the other. It is a paved commuter trail. It is an easy hiking venue suitable for all levels. We will end up at the Daniel Boone Inn, which is one of the oldest restaurants in Boone and features family style dining.
Stone Mountain, Roaring Gap
Located in Alleghanny and Wilkes Counties in the 600-foot granite bald known as Stone Mountain. It has been designated as a National Natural Landmark along with the Hutchinson Homestead at its base.

Greenville Loop Trails Lake Brandt
We will finish up the year in Greensbore taking a series of trials creating a 3 mile loop along Lake Brandt. As usually we will finish with our annual toast to another great season of neighborhood hiking.
Andrews, NC
We will take a ride on the Andrews Railbike Tour peddling along about 4.8 miles each way. We will also take in the Graveyard Fields Trail near Canton on the way up and visit an old growth forest at Joyce Kilmer Forest.
October 7-9th - Weds-Friday
D-Day Memorial- Appomattox
This was a popular couple of destinations from past seasons that we will repeat this year for the new members and those that would like to visit again. Both are inspiring historical locations.
